TRANSFORMER TRANSPORT WITH A TOTAL LENGTH OF ALMOST 90 METRES SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED TO THE PORT

Several transformers were successfully transported from a transformer manufacturing plant to a nearby port. There, they will be temporarily stored before continuing the next stage of their journey by vessel as part of the overall transport chain.

A new route concept was used for the first time for the pre-carriage on a route that has been successfully utilised for many years. The optimisation of the transport process, combined with regulatory requirements, made a greater reduction in axle loads necessary. As a result, a transport combination measuring almost 90 metres in length and weighing more than 600 tonnes in total was created.

The premiere on this route, which had previously been used with shorter transport combinations around ten years ago, was successfully completed over two transport nights. With the successful transfer of the transformers to the port, another important project milestone has been achieved. The units are now ready for the main voyage by ship.
