APPROXIMATELY 750-TONNE WIND TURBINE NACELLE SUCCESSFULLY RELOCATED
As part of a demanding wind energy project, the KAHL Group successfully relocated a wind turbine nacelle weighing approximately 750 tonnes within the project site.
Measuring approximately 17 metres in length, 8 metres in width and around 10 metres in height, the oversized component placed exceptional demands on engineering, planning and execution.
For the operation, a high-performance transport configuration consisting of 24 Goldhofer ES-E 315 axle lines, arranged as two parallel-coupled 12-axle combinations, was used in combination with a PowerPack. This setup ensured optimal load distribution, maximum stability and outstanding manoeuvrability while moving the 750-tonne nacelle safely across the project site.
Following the assembly of the transport configuration and thorough technical preparation, the nacelle was relocated safely, precisely and under full control. Operations of this scale require not only state-of-the-art heavy transport equipment but also meticulous project planning, extensive engineering expertise and a highly experienced team.
