COOLER TRANSPORTS FOR ONSHORE CONVERTER STATION: START OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN TO BÜTTEL

As part of a major energy infrastructure project, the first two out of a total of eight coolers for the onshore converter station in Büttel are successfully on their way. The route covers the distance from Nuremberg to Büttel, with further transports already in planning.

Each cooler has a unit weight of approximately 28 tonnes and dimensions of approx. 6.9 x 3.8 x 4.1 m. All units are of identical design. The associated transformers for the offshore converter station have already been successfully shipped to Jebel Ali, where the offshore converter platform is currently under construction.
